Paride Pignotti is an Italian guitarist and composer based in Los Angeles. Playing both electric, acoustic, and classical guitar, Paride blends the passion of jazz with a Mediterranean flavor in his music.

During his career, he has toured and performed internationally throughout Europe, the United States, and Africa, at numerous globally recognized venues and festivals such as Auditorium Parco Della Musica, San Jose for Performing Arts, Yamaava Theater, Borgata Theater, Nice Jazz Festival, Rome Jazz Festival, Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and Time in Jazz, among others.

He collaborated with artists such as Erik Santos, Stell Ajero, Delfeayo Marsalis, Omar Ledezma Jr, Nicola Stilo, Javier Girotto, Suwon Yim among others.

In 2020, he was one of twenty students selected by UNESCO Artist for Peace and Grammy-winning pianist Danilo Pérez to attend the Berklee Global Jazz Institute master’s program in Contemporary Performance at Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship.

There, he had the opportunity to be mentored by world- renowned musicians such as Danilo Perez, Grammy-winning saxophonist Joe Lovano, Grammy-winning bassist John Patitucci among others. 

Throughout his time at Berklee College of Music, he had the privilege of collaborating and performing with esteemed jazz musicians like John Patitucci, Delfeayo Marsalis, Kris Davis, and also served as an accompanist at the Berklee Voice Department.

In 2018, he released his first album called 43 Parallelo, recorded with Seby Burgio on piano, Alessandro Marzi on drums, Alberto Fidone on double bass, and featuring trumpet player Nate Birkley as a special guest for Emme Record Label.

In 2020, he recorded his second album called Acquamarina with guitarist Jacopo Schiavo, and with special guests Javier Girotto on saxophone and Marco Bruno on acoustic bass for WOW Record. (Available Only on Spotify, Bandcamp and AppleMusic)

In 2024, he released his third album called Roots featuring solo guitar performances on acoustic and classical guitar.

In 2024, he released his fourth album called Way Back Home together with Suwon Yim, released with Poclanos Record. 

As a sideman, he has recorded electric, classical, and acoustic guitar for various musicians such as Federica Lipuma’s quartet for the label Inner Circle produced by the famous saxophonist Greg Osby, Suwon Yim’s albums When It Falls and Dear Starfish, and Manuela Ciunna’s Nzuccarata.

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree with honors in Jazz from the Conservatorio Pergolesi (Fermo) and the Conservatory Santa Cecilia (Rome) in Italy.

In 2022, he graduated with honors from the Berklee Global Jazz Master program with his thesis Traveler’s Symphony: Bridging Musical Worlds in Search of a New Personal Aesthetic.

He has won several competition as:

-Progetto Air organized by the Italian Jazz Musician Association, where he spent a month in artistic residency in Dakar, Senegal, touring with the renowned kora player Noumoucounda Cissoko.

-Takamine Go play Outside Contest: first prize winner (a $1749.99 Takamine acoustic guitar) at the competition “Go Play Outside”, organized by Takamine guitar in the U.S.

-Winner of Giacomo Nicolai Scholarship.

-Best Student at “Nuoro Jazz” masterclass.

He has been selected as a finalist in also other different contests such as “Massimo Urbani” Competition, “Chicco Bettinardi”, “Vittoria Jazz Contest”.
